Actually, no: I agree that congressional hearings in principle are good and justifiable. I think this one had elements of incredible unseriousness, and I think it’s fair to ask what the legislative purpose will be, but these institutions take gobs of federal dollars, so they get some of the Dane with the Danegeld.
